The Pawmmunity Nurse Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers our use of your personal data which we collect about you during any interaction you may have with us. It covers the collection of personal data via the Pawmmunity Nurse facebook page www.facebook.com/thepawmmunitynurse  

(a third party social media channel). 

In this privacy policy, when we refer to “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Abigail Connolly, The Pawmmunity Nurse, 15 Rutland Crescent, Trowbridge, BA140NX. We are the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 and from 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The type of personal information we collect  

We currently collect and process the following information: 

Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name, email, telephone number, address, pets name, pets microchip number) 

Details regarding pets 

Details identifying what veterinary practice a pet is registered at. 

Personal data we receive from other sources. When you interact with us, or use any of our pages on social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and so on, we may collect information about you which could include personal data. For example, when you “Like” a post on our Facebook page, or “Follow” us on Twitter. Those social media sites will also have their own privacy policies explaining how they use and share your personal data. You should carefully review those privacy policies before you use those social media sites, to make sure that you are happy with them. 

Information used to take payment for one or more of our services. 
 

Personal information and why we have it 

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons: 

For the booking of pet services including pet grooming, pet sitting, pet boarding, pet advice and pet assisted medical care. 

To maintain contact regarding your booking. 

To keep you informed of information regarding services that may interest you. 

To update you with booking records 

To update you regarding our privacy policy. 

To keep accurate records to allow us to provide adequate pet services (for example, we store your address, so that we can offer our mobile services to your address for your desired booking). 

Your information may be passed onto a third party organisation such as the RSPCA should we encounter any welfare concerns about pets in our care under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. 

Your information may be shared with certain regulatory bodies, government and enforcement agencies, if we need or are requested to. 

 To analyse how our Website is used, so that we can constantly improve the services that we offer. 

We may also share personal data collected about you with social media channels, advertising networks and other third parties who help us to understand how our Website is being used, how well our advertising works, how we can improve, to provide ad measurement services and to target advertising (and in some cases we may allow those third parties to collect and receive data themselves for these purposes, which they may also collect from elsewhere on the internet and other apps). This information is collected using cookies and other similar technologies. 

 
Receiving contact from the Pawmmunity Nurse & changing contact preferences 

From time to time, we may send you e-mails relating to The Pawmmunity Nurse services which we think you might like or which will be beneficial for your own business and work.

Use of personal data by The Pawmmunity Nurse  

The personal data that we collect about you may be transferred to, accessed, used or stored in, a country outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), either by us or by any of the third parties that we share your personal data with. 

We will make sure that any transfer of your personal data by us or by those third parties, complies with the laws which apply to us. In any case, the transfer, access and use of your personal data will continue to be governed by this privacy policy. 

By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, access and use of your personal data outside the EEA. 

Security of personal data 

We care about your personal data and know that you trust us to keep it secure. 

We keep your booking information including contact details for your online booking form for 1 year. We will then dispose your information by deletion. Any details stored within our manual diary will be shredded after 1 year. 
 

Unfortunately, the transmission of personal data via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data on transmission via the internet. 

We ask you not to share your passwords with anyone. 

 
Personal data and your rights 
You have the right to ask us to update and correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal data that we hold about you free of charge. 

You also have the right to access any personal data that we hold about you.

Our Website may contain links to other websites and social media sites operated by third parties. Please note that we have no control over how those third parties collect and use your personal data. If we decide to do so we will post the changes on our Website so that you are always aware of what personal data we collect about you, and how we use it. If we need to, we will e-mail you with details of those changes and/or ask you to confirm that you are happy with them.
